"They got it fixed"
Had an issue at first, but they fixed it quickly. wasnt expecting it to be sorted that fast, so yeah, happy with how it turned out.

"The box itself was fine, I guess…"
The box itself was fine, I guess, but the corners of the prints were a little bent when they arrived. Not a huge deal, but I was kind of hoping they’d be in better shape.

"Honestly impressed"

"Finally, a Place That Makes Slide Film Easy"
I sent in some old slide film expecting some kind of hassle, because it feels like dealing with this stuff is always way more complicated than it should be. But nope, everything came back looking really nice. The scans were clean, the colors looked right, and I didn’t have to jump through a bunch of hoops just to get it done. It’s a relief to find a place that still handles old film without making the whole process annoying. I’ll definitely use them again...

The scans came out really good, and the push-pull feature worked like it should. My usual mental shortcut is that if I don’t have to think too hard about using something, it’s doing its job—and this passed that test.

It showed up way quicker than I expected, which was a nice surprise. i was kind of bracing myself to wait a while, so getting it sooner was a win.

"Got my old scans back easy"
I had to grab some older film scans from my archive, and it was simple to get back into them again. There wasn’t any weird hassle or digging around forever, the files were just there, which was nice. Saved me a bunch of time, so yeah, I was happy with that.

"Easy enough, but the download link could be clearer"
Uploading my film scans was simple, and the download link showed up quicker than I expected. It did take me a minute to actually find it though, so whoever runs this should probably make that part a little more obvious. Overall, it worked fine and I got what I needed.

"Easy and dependable every time"
I’ve sent a few rolls over to thedarkroom now, it’s been really solid each time. The scans look good, the turnaround is pretty much what I’d expect, and nothing’s ever come back looking weird or off. It’s just easy, reliable, and kind of exactly what I want from a film lab.

"My black and white rolls came back looking amazing"
I sent in a few black and white rolls when I got them back I was probably way too excited, but they looked so good. Like, I opened them and immediately started acting like I had just discovered a lost archive of masterpieces. Support also answered my question quickly, which I really appreciated. It did take a little longer than I was hoping, and I may have dramatically checked for updates more than necessary, but in the end I’m really happy with how everything turned out.

I send in a roll that was a little underexposed and paid for the scans. The photos came back usable, so it wasn’t a bad experience, but the exposure correction was kind of all over the place. Some shots looks better, and then a few still came back too dark or just sort of flat. Turnaround time was fine and the website is easy enough to use. I’d maybe use them again, but I was expecting a little more help on fixing the exposure.

"I liked that I didn’t have…"
I liked that I didn’t have to pay for giant files every single time. Like, if I was just sharing them with family, the standard scan was totally fine. But then I tried the bigger scan too, and it looked really good for prints. The ordering part was simple enough, which I appreciated because I don’t want to overthink that stuff. It was just nice having the choice depending on what I needed...

"Tracking was accurate"
I’m usually cautious with deliveries and like to keep an eye on where my order is so I’m not caught off guard. The tracking was spot on the whole time, which definitely made me feel more comfortable.

"Pretty easy first time using The Darkroom"
I tried thedarkroom.com for the first time, it was straightforward. Like, I picked my film type, added a few notes, got the mailer info, and that was basically it. I didn’t have to click around forever trying to figure out what to do, which I really appreciated. Nothing felt confusing or overcomplicated. I also liked being able to review everything before sending my film in. Took maybe a few minutes total, which was kind of exactly what I was hoping for.

"Really happy with my scans"
I got my film back from thedarkroom i was happy with it. Everything looked super clean, with barely any dust spots, and I didn’t see any weird scratches like I’ve gotten from other places before. The scans was easy to download and use too, which I appreciated. Definitely sending more rolls their way...

"Honest Pricing, No Games"
I really appreciated that the costs were clear before I placed my order. Shipping did add a little extra, but at least it was shown upfront and there weren’t any strange last-minute charges. To me, that feels like the fair and right way to do business.

I’ve used thedarkroom.com a couple times now, and to be fair, the scans do eventually show up. But the delivery has been a little hit or miss for me. One order came right on schedule, and another took longer than expected, so I had to keep checking back like it was suddenly my job to track it down. It’s not awful, but I really wish the file delivery felt more dependable and didn’t add extra work on my end...

"Good scans, return tracking could be better"
I’ve used The Darkroom a handful of times now, and I can’t say I haven’t been happy with the scans because they’re usually really solid. The only thing that’s been a little frustrating is getting my negatives back. One order took longer than I expected, and the return tracking didn’t feel super reliable. I still think it’s a good service overall, I just wish the return process was easier to keep an eye on.
